What is CapacityIQ?

CapacityIQ is a manufacturing capacity visibility dashboard that provides real-time machine utilization tracking, bottleneck analysis, and predictive scheduling alerts to help optimize factory output.

Who is CapacityIQ designed for?

CapacityIQ is designed for manufacturing operations teams — including operators, schedulers, plant managers, and administrators — who need clear, actionable visibility into shop-floor capacity and workload.

What does the Order Capacity Check do?

The Order Capacity Check lets you evaluate a specific part and quantity against your current shop-floor schedule. It shows projected utilization across the required work centers, identifies bottlenecks, and indicates whether the order can be supported by a given due date.

How does CapacityIQ identify bottlenecks?

CapacityIQ compares required hours for each routing operation against the available capacity of the assigned work centers. Work centers projected to exceed utilization thresholds are flagged as bottlenecks, and the most constrained operation is highlighted as the primary constraint.

What manufacturing data is needed?

To get the most from CapacityIQ, you provide facility details, work centers with their available hours, parts/SKUs, routing operations (sequence, work center, setup and run times), and scheduled jobs. This master data powers capacity calculations and feasibility checks.

Does CapacityIQ replace an ERP or MRP system?

No. CapacityIQ complements your ERP/MRP by focusing on capacity visibility, bottleneck analysis, and scheduling intelligence. It does not replace your system of record for inventory, accounting, or production orders.

Can CapacityIQ evaluate a potential order before we commit to it?

Yes. The Order Capacity Check performs an ad-hoc feasibility assessment for a part and quantity before you accept the order, so you can decide whether to commit based on real available capacity.

How is customer manufacturing data handled?

Manufacturing data you enter is used to provide and improve the service. CapacityIQ does not sell your business data to third parties. Access is restricted to authorized personnel, and data is protected with industry-standard security practices.

Can CapacityIQ work with existing manufacturing systems?

Yes. CapacityIQ can integrate with storefront and e-commerce platforms such as SHOPLINE to import order and product data, and supports data ingestion to align with your existing manufacturing master data.

How do users get support?

Users can reach support through the in-app support channels and contact information provided with their account. Our team is available to help with setup, integrations, and operational questions.
